Project 365 - week 1 continued

Jan 2 - We hung around home again today - I started cleaning out my scrap space. It has never been tidy since I created it - there is always something that doesnt have a place to live. So i am trying to change this. Need more stroage. Thinking of starting to use the wall space. Mel and Jon left us today, on their European Adventure. The took a train to Milan and then on to Naples. Alexandra was devistated and cried when the left. We will see them again soon though, they come back to us at the end of the month. After we waved goodbye at the Train Station we went and had some Chinese for dinner. Dylan is getting to be quite the loud one when it comes to food and hunger. Rolf was eating a spring roll and he started to scream louder and louder, when Rolf finally gave in he was quiet. We then came home and watched Peter Pan, a new DVD Rolf had bought for Alexandra. I then chatted to Phyllis for quite awhile figuring out what we are going to do re: this project since we didnt get the kit. After lots of research and brainstorming we came up with some good ideas and she has gone to go check them out.

Jan 3 - I woke with the desire to scrap - to have a go at stitching some page protectors from Pebble Inc (6up) and seeing if i could make some journalling pockets. Rolf i think could feel my creative flow and took Alexandra swimming so when Dylan went for a nap i could scrap! I did the layout below for the first couple of days of this project and I am really happy with how it turned out. I also did a another layout about my one little word! When Rolf and Alexandra came back from swimming we headed out to Coop to get some food etc. I got also some baskets for my scrap space. The funniest thing happened while we were having a drink after shopping. A man walking past us dropped his mobile phone, Dylan being Dylan ran straight for it, picked it up and put it straight to his ear and started talking in his baby talk! Everyone all around laughed so much. Oh my cute little boy! When we got homeJürg came down for dinner with us and after the kids went to bed Rolf and I watched the end of the DVD, A long way down, fantastic travel DVD all about a motorbike journey from Scottland to South Africa.

And here it is, what i worked on this morning, my idea for Project 365. It is very similar obviously to Becky's Kit but i really love how easy it was to make and no stressing if i am getting one of her kits or not. This is just some 6 up (side loading) page protectors from Pebble inc (Share and Tell) had bought them awhile back and finally can start using them! I just sewed the bottom row on inserts in half to create four journalling pockets!

Phyllis is buying some more 6up page protectors in the States and when she gets back we will get straight to work. Its nice to be able to share a project with friends, another friend Lesley is also joining in. We can motivate each other to make sure we take a photo every day!!!

I like that you did some sewing on the page protectors. Your first page looks great. I have started my Project 365 and started to post on my blog as well. Stop by if you have a chance.

I love this idea. I didn't get Becky's kit either, But I've been taking the pictures. You've made this look so do-able...I might have to try something like this to put them in.

Being an "International" I didn't get a kit either, but this is the perfect solution...I'm straight off to set up the Singer!!!!

What a great solution to the problem! I am doing this project in a digital format but any way we do it it is about capturing something every day! Thanks for providing a glimpse into your life I followed the link from Becky’s blog it is always interesting to see how others interpret projects.
