Why is it ....

.... that I always find what i am looking for when I don't go out specifically to look for it. I spent a good part of last Saturday searching for a cute yellow handbag and cute yellows shoes. I dragged my friend Fiona from shop to shop and to find NOTHING.

But then fast forward to today and I got our babysitter over to watch the kids so I could go to the Physio. I had 1 hour to burn afterwards so just walked around the town in Zug. And I find a ton of yellow bags and a ton of yellow shoes. (I actually went to the camera store to see if they had any new cameras in - they didnt )

So here are my purchases.

SO SO cute. And a perfect price for shoes I am not sure I will wear next season - but knowing me they will become favs and I wont be able to find them again when i wear them out.
And the bag. Now this is not the type of bag I was looking for in the beginning. But when i saw it I was drawn to it. Its not as yellow but super super cute and I can see me using this for years to come - so an investment right. LOVE IT!

Perfect spring accessories.

Spring Cleaning

I read this post today over at Simplemom.net and it could not of come at a better time.
I was thinking the exact same thing this morning. That i should get a group of friend's together and we focus on one part of our homes each week (not day like at Simplemom.net). But i think her idea is fantastic and I am on board.

So come May 4th you will (hopefully) see a daily progress of my spring cleaning and making my place clutter free. Hopefully lots of before and after photos to be shared! I wonder if my Father in law will keep the dumpster that we have currently outside until the middle of may?

I am still finding it very difficult to get into the swing of things, so hopefully this will get me going! So who is going to join me???

Speaking of getting going. Scrapbooking hasnt been a big feature of my daily routine since i have returned from holidays. :(. Just can't seem to get going. But yesterday I came up with an idea (my first in awhile) while listening to my iPod. So I took the photos for the layout out this morning and I have been thinking about it all morning. Now I am going to go and choose some product that I think will go with the photos. Tonight, hopefully I will be filled with motivation to create!!! Heres hoping

A sad sad day

I go down and open up my mail box - and what is sitting there?

The last issue of Simple Scrapbooks.

Very very sad.

Well i know what my photo of the day will be. When Rolf gets home he will be taking a photo of me and one of my fav magazines.

So it's Easter

Easter Sunday. The kids have already had their easter egg hunt. We have put up our Australian Flag and waiting to have a yummy lunch with Rolf's family.

I am participating in 12 of 12 for the first time today. You can check out more information here . So I will try my hardest not to take 12 easter photos today, will be hard ;)

Oh and do you know what i got in my in box today? An email from Twitter saying that STACY JULIAN is now following me on twitter. :) WOW! Ok, even though she does tend to add a lot of people! I must say that its pretty cool when one of your fav scrapbookers adds you, its pretty cool!

Ok so here are some photos from yestserday. We went for a walk in Zug and to an Easter Fair. We stopped to sit on a bench near the lake and there were so many beautiful flowers everywhere. So i tried my best to get some photos of the kids. They really werent up for it though.

OH! and I have been a bit annoying lately. Annoying my lovely husband and letting him know at every chance I can, that I would LOVE to get a DSLR camera - and soon! Ideally before my photography class starts in June. Not sure what my chances are - and have even said that I will give up my Christmas and Birthday presents to get it! (Yes Christmas is 9 months away and my birthday is 10 months away ;) ) Anyway, a girl can always dream.

So here is a my wish list!
- Canon 500 D (Rebel T1i - in the States) DSLR camera body only!
- 50 mm f1.8 len or ideally a Canon 50mm f1.4 lens.
- Jill-E camera bag, this one, this one, are ones that i like!!

So does anyone else have a cool camera bag????

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Getting back into it

Some how this time I am finding it hard to get back into normal life. The weather probably has something to do with it. When it is sunny and warm outside the last thing I want to be doing with the kiddies is being locked up in the apartment cleaning and tidying. But i suppose these things need to be done, one corner at a time.

I have not scrapbooked since I got back. Well thats a little lie. I have once - kind of scrapbooked - at Phyllis' last Wednesday - but i was just finishing up projects. So that is how out of whack I feel. My scraproom isnt calling me :( - maybe need to read some magazines to make me feel like scrapping again - or better yet - get this place back in order and then I wont feel guilty for scrapbooking.

So off I go-

One week later ...

So we have now been home 1 week and I am now only getting around to posting some photos of our trip. We have slowly gotten back into our routine. However, this place looks like a bombs hit it and so today I have slowly started to try and put it all back together. Since Rolf didnt really hang out here while we were gone, just to sleep, you can imagine how much dust is around.

Any here are the photos.

Alexandra checking out the map of Sea World. She really loved going to Sea World and meeting Elmo, seeing tons of Dolphins and Sharks and lots of other fish.
Alexandra and I just before Jaxon's Christening. Best photo I could get on a timer and Alexandra had no desire to stand still for another photo.

We did get to go to the beach this time around. We headed up the Coast with my Mum. We stayed at Alexandra Headlands.

Alexandra and Grandma having lunch on our Balcony. It was a great apartment, such a great view to the ocean.
Before we left Alexandra HAD to get to nails done by Grandma.

Hoopfully this weekend I will get some more things done and that I will be able to get back to scrapbooking this week. I did almost finish off my Week in a life project (yes that was last October) this week though. Just have to finish off my journalling.

Happy Weekend!
