Shades of Summer 2010 European Edition

Well it's that time of year again.

Elizabeth Kartchner's Shades of Summer is back and again this year we will be doing it here in Europe!!!

This year to help me out, we have on board Barbara Haane from Germany. You can check out her great blog here

Here are the details

1. You can't be moving this summer (because the package gets lost or doesn't get forwarded) or traveling extensively.

2. First, you take a photo wearing the sunglasses and email it to us and Liz

3. Second, you will ship a small box with the sunglasses in it to the next person on the list we will  include in the box.

4. You must ship glasses & list of addresses with in 2 days of receiving them.

•The first 300 peeps to email me are included in all the fun.

Shades of Summer !!!

So the European Shades of Summer has come to the end in .... November. We waited and waited for the package to arrive from Finland but it didnt and so had to use the back up glasses for the last person in Switzerland - luckily I know her and she didnt mind at all - thanks Phyllis!

So we have had photos from Austria, Finland, Spain, Northern Ireland, The Netherlands and Switzerland!!!!

Thanks everyone who participated and look forward to doing again next year!

Shades of Summer Update!!!

I am happy to report that the Shades of Summer has almost done it's way round Europe. I think, if my memory is correct there is only 2 people left on the list. Think that its great that everyone has kept it going. Once I get the last two photos in I will post all the pics!!!!

Shades of Summer European Edition!

Today starts the Shades of Summer European Edition! I am sending out the first box today down to Spain - so watch your mailboxes if you signed up!!!

Shades of Summer season 2 comes to Europe!!!!!

So excited to be hosting the European version of Shades of Summer. Elizabeth Kartchner started this great idea up last year. Sending sunglasses from Blogger to Blogger around The States and everyone taking a photo of themselves in the glasses! This year the fun is coming to Europe!

Rules for Shades of Summer 2009:


1 Open Box (Take out sunglasses and don't loose paper with other addresses on it.)

2 Take photo with sunglasses on

3 Print out 4x6 photo and include in box with sunglasses


4 Email Liz and I  a photo of you wearing shades to ShadesOfSummer(at)gmail.com and Everydaycreativeness(at)gmail.com.

5 Send out glasses within 3 days

6 Each person will pay for their own postage to ship glasses and photos. I will try to organize those who sign up by countries - so that we can keep postage to a minimum.

7 If you are going to be on vacation for longer than 14 days, sorry, please don't enter. And if you will be on vacation please include the dates in the email and I will work around it. :) thanks.

8 Please do not enter if you are moving this summer
